Fire up your child’s imagination and bring the world of movie creation to life using a tablet and tabletop movie set!
Stop Motion brings kids’ natural creativity and imagination to life, empowering ideas and creativity through the art of animated storytelling.
In our Stop Motion Course, children bring their imaginations to life. They will:
- Create incredible Superhero themed Stop Motion animated movies from scratch using clay, lego or your own favourite Superhero toys.
- Develop valuable digital skills like filming and editing
- Strengthen their creativity with script development, backdrop creation and character development
- Upload the finished film to YouTube and share your movie with your friends and family.
- Enjoy lots of fun, themed activities!
- Receive a certificate on completion of the program

Days 1 & 2: Stop Motion Creators Core Program
(Movement techniques, sound design, character animation, and story creation)
Day 1: Foundations of Stop Motion
(Movement techniques, famous examples, transitions, and custom audio creation)
Exciting Modules Include:
- Legendary Animations – Explore iconic examples from Aardman, Laika, and more
- Mastering Motion – Learn frame-by-frame basics and animate walking, bouncing, and sliding
- Scene Swaps – Discover how to create smooth transitions and cinematic shifts
- Sound Studio – Record your own story audio and sound effects to match your animations
Day 2: Character Animation & Story Creation
(Facial animations, detailed movement, ideation, and producing a personal stop motion short)
Exciting Modules Include:
- Small Movements, Big Emotions – Animate facial expressions and tiny character gestures
- Story Lab – Develop your own original stop motion narrative and storyboard your scenes
- Animate Your Story – Bring your characters and plot to life using everything you've learned
- Mini Film Festival – Screen your final short film and celebrate your creative journey
Computer Requirements
Students are required to bring their own iPad or Android tablet for this course. Your child’s device must have a working camera on their tablet/Ipad to participate in this course.
Installation Details
Please download and install the Stop Motion Editing App to your child’s device before attending the class.
